This Privacy Policy describes how Steamboat Solar LLC ("Steamboat Solar," "we," "us") handles data in connection with Steamboat Solar Monitoring (the "Service"), a private, internal application used to monitor solar photovoltaic systems that Steamboat Solar owns or operates.

1. Data we access

The Service retrieves, through authorized third-party monitoring APIs (including SMA / Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS and other inverter and metering platforms), operational data for systems Steamboat Solar owns or operates. This includes:

- Energy-production and power measurements (e.g., kWh generated, per day and per month);

- System and device metadata (plant name, location, capacity, commissioning details, operating status).

The Service does not collect data about members of the public and is not intended to gather personal information beyond the business-contact details of our own authorized users.

2. How we use data

Data is used exclusively for Steamboat Solar's internal purposes: monitoring system performance, operations and maintenance, financial and portfolio reporting, and compliance reporting to lenders and partners. We do not use the data for advertising or profiling.

3. How we share data

We do not sell data or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Data may be processed by infrastructure and service providers acting on our behalf (for example, our hosting and access-control provider) solely to operate the Service. Aggregated production and financial figures may be included in reports we provide to our lenders, partners, and co-owners in the ordinary course of business.

4. Data storage and security

The Service is private and access-controlled: it is served behind an authentication layer and is available only to authorized Steamboat Solar personnel. API credentials are stored securely and are not exposed in the application or to end users. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data.

5. Data retention

We retain production and operational data for as long as needed for the operational, reporting, and record-keeping purposes described above.

6. Your choices

System owners who have granted the Service access to their plant data through a third-party platform may withdraw that consent at any time through that platform, which will stop further data retrieval for the affected systems.

7. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above reflects the most recent revision.
